Two piece headliners

Hello Everyone,

I've been having a heck of a time getting the headliner on my '51 installed. I tried to wrap the stock cardboard pieces with vinyl and use the retaining bow for the center of the two pieces, but I just can't get it right? Have any of you guys used something different to get your headliner up there so it looks clean?

Re: Two piece headliners

I installed a new stock cardboard headliner in mine. It didn't fit new. I had to trim a little, and it was a little short in another spot. You may have goten one that was just a little off. I used the stock bows, it just took a while.

Re: Two piece headliners

Not to highjack the tread but I have a one peice headliner and I am trying to find a source for the metal trim w/screw holes that attaches the back of the headliner to the back of the cab.

I have not found then for a 48 cab. Does anyone have a source?

Thanks
Marc

Not a problem. I've been looking for that piece too. I saw a truck at the Pomona Fairplex that had it. I'll post the picture tonight.

Here's of pic of that rear headliner trim piece that I promised you. I have no idea where he bought it and he said he didn't remember either. I'm thinking he may have just bought it from a hardware store.
