Hi Dave,

I’ve sent your PayPal invoice. The group buy will be available until March 31. This will give others a fair amount of time to respond. Thank you for organizing this group buy.

Hey Dave, got any pictures of that install? I'm considering redoing my PCV system, but I like the look of no holes in my valve covers.

Re: Swapped PCV & gained big time!

I don't have one but I borrowed one on line. As in the picture, I planted the PCV right into the block with the properly sized grommet. My line to the back of the carb varied a bit from the pic in that I made it a straight shot by putting a short piece of rubber hose at the rear of the carb using a theaded brass hose barb and another short piece at the valve. Then, I used a custom bent metal line in between. I tried it first with rubber all the way but it wanted to kink and push the PCV backward toward the firewall dislodging it from the grommet.

I got a half arsed decent pic of mine for you. Showing the S bend in the metal line that I used to make it all copacetic.

Re: Swapped PCV & gained big time!

Thank you! I like that a lot better than the PCV valve I used prior that just screws into the back of the carb. Much harder to replace when needed, and it's been in there since I did the engine swap. Oops

Looks like I'll be doing some research tomorrow to find that grommet for the back

Re: Swapped PCV & gained big time!

Did anyone use an air oil separator when installing this PVC valve?

Re: Swapped PCV & gained big time!

Forest, I didn't use the separator. I really didn't see the point since I wasn't really drawing much oil thru my pcv anymore with the new valvecovers. My old covers though.....wow, the baffle was a piece of garbage made by me and I used to wonder where my oil went. Then I watched those videos on the ME Wagner website and I figured it was my bogus baffle. A pair of new covers with a factory type baffle pretty much cured that whole problem. I got the impression that the separator was for those who wish to confirm that they were indeed drawing oil thru the pcv valve and wanted to see how much they were losing.

Re: Swapped PCV & gained big time!

Just asking because I was just looking at the installation checklist and it said “ An air-oil separator between the PCV valve and manifold vacuum source is optional, but is recommended if the application permits. Ensure the air-oil separator does not restrict airflow, some smaller units can cause a significant vacuum drop which may interfere with PCV valve tuning. M/E Wagner has used Moroso part number 85474 successfully in various applications.”
