My dash lights come on when I hit the brake...

What the hell is that about?

Just reinstalled the cleaned up harness...hooked up temporary brake lights..(bed is still under the knife)....dash lights come on with brake pedal. Fun fun.

Thank you in advance for your experience.

You have to have everything hooked up and properly distributing the power load. Recheck your grounds, and make sure you have the correct 1157 bulbs for the tail lights.

Check your brake light bulbs for a short between fillaments. Had this happen years ago when driving down the highway. Hit a pothole, stepped on the brakes and the dash lit up.
