RIP Dusty Hill - ZZTop

Its a sad day for ZZTop fans.

I saw them last about 3 years ago and it was one of the best shows ever!

Re: RIP Dusty Hill - ZZTop

I read of his passing a couple hours ago.
Lots of talent.
My favorite ZZ Top song is “Just got paid”.

Re: RIP Dusty Hill - ZZTop

Wow this is too bad. One of my favorite shows in July of 1980 in Waterbury Ct. at the old Palace Theater. It was a general admission show. I waited in line all day with a bunch of friends. First time I ever saw a sugar cube. The place was so full of smoke I thought it was going to burn down.

Re: RIP Dusty Hill - ZZTop

I've seen ZZ Top more than any other band, and it's a damned shame to see his talent (and general coolness) taken from us at such a young age.

Re: RIP Dusty Hill - ZZTop

Saw them in Wichita some years ago and it was a really great concert. Unfortunately, a lot of the great ones from our era are going to the big concert in the sky.

Solid bass player in a little ol' band from Texas.

Re: RIP Dusty Hill - ZZTop

Trouble was it would hit the dash on my 55 and was a pain to have it your pocket so it hung on the wall for all these years. Maybe Richard Rawlings will buy it from me so I can retire early.
