1969 outer grille

Anyone out there that can tell me a trick to remove this mark or scratch, you can barely and I mean barely feel it with your finger nail.It still has the anodizing on it and I don’t want to remove it,been there before! I was thinking about selling it I’ve had it several years but it’s not a OEM,it’s a Auto Metal to Direct.Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Re: 1969 outer grille

aluminum anodizing is only a few microns thick, therefore, just about any size scratch will be through the anodize surface.
You could probably just try to polish the scratch to make it somewhat shiny and blend in.
There isn't a way to fully remove it without compromising the anodize.

Re: 1969 outer grille

You can tape it on both sides of the scratch and use some 000 steel wool and reduce the scratch visibility quite a bit. Or I could take it for my donation bin haha jk.
