'91 R2500 Project

Haven't had a squarebody for probably 10 years. Picked up this '91 R2500 this weekend. 454/4L80 2wd. 1 owner unmolested South Carolina truck, no rust but the paint is gone. I'm thinking wetsand and wax the raggedy paint and do a 2/4 or 3/5 drop. It's got the FF rear so I can't do much more than that. I wanna do it right so I can keep a decent towing capacity. Thinking drop spindles with the stock front springs and rearched rears. Definitely don't have room for a flip and don't wanna just ditch some leaves. Anyone got a source for lower rear springs?

I'm glad the "patina" trucks are in because I'm always too cheap to spring for a good paint job and I hate having to worry about dings and scratches. My wife wants to get a vintage camper and take our kids on some camping trips which is what this will be used for mainly (hence wanting a very safe/stabile drop) and no way I would put a high dollar paint job on it with a 3 and 6 year old...

If you want towing capacity then leave the suspension alone and enjoy the ride
