Dash gauge lights not working - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Dash gauge lights don't work and never have since I bought the truck a year ago (replaced all bulbs but that didn't work). The turn signal indicators and hi-beam indicator lights up as does the heater panel light. Thinking either its a bad headlight switch or the ground on the printed circuit board on the back of the cluster is bad. Thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated. If it is the printed circuit board, has anyone replaced them with the ones sold by Classic Industries??

I'd pull it,paint the inside (I use gloss white) for added "reflection".
You can sometimes see problems,when taking it out.
PO may have reached up to replace bulbs then some paths break off and get twisted up,
off the board.
I use crazy glue,to reattach copper to board.

before you start part swapping, check for power at the headlight switch for the dash lights
then start chasing the power to the bulbs, if it does end up at the ground, i'd ground the bulbs separately
rather than change the board, assuming everything else works
