Smile Gave myself a raise

I just bought a ford festiva for the winter. It cost me $30/week in gaz compared to $80 a week. A saving of $200 a month, thats a lot of cash. Now i'l be able to go to McDonald more often.

Are you implying it's safe to get hit in a 67-72 truck!? Yeah, right. Safer than the festiva undoubtedly, but either way PAY ATTENTION. Not only is he saving natural resources, he has $200 a month more to spend on his truck! Being as a new F*rd Stoopid Duty diesel 4x4 weighs like 7500# UNLOADED (and seems to be the vehicle of choice for computer dorks around here ) your F'd regardless. But at least the truck will be at home protected from the idiots and the weather!

I drove an 86 Escort to work for years. When the guys would rib me about it I would show them a picture of my garage. 72 Chevy p/u, 82 Chevy p/u and 95 Silverado Ext cab.
Sure felt good driving that car in bad weather. Didn't wash it, didn't care where I parked it. Drove through construction and down every dirt road I could find. Never worried about the salt trucks in the winter. Sometimes I would get out and kick the door shut with my foot.
Every mile I put on that car was one less on the trucks.

Did you get the standard or the SVT Cobra high performance version? ( it had the high output 1.3 liter big block) They were de-rated for insurance reasons. I think advertised horsepower was 27, but I know on the dyno, they were turning well over 29.

Seriously, that's a good idea. I drove an old beater Datsun for years as a work car, It got 30 mpg. I could leave the keys in it , the windows down and a sign that said Free Car, and nobody would even take it.
