My name is Jim and I live in Manassas, Va. I own a 1971 Chevy C/10 that I am building into an "SS 396" truck with an M-21 Muncie and 12-bolt posi rearend. My daily driver is a 1971 Chevy Short bed, fleet side, 4x4 Cheyenne Super with a 350 H.O. crate motor. I also have a 1970 something C/20 Chevy truck with a 350, Granny gear 4-speed, Dana rears. This truck has a blown head gasket and I am going to let this one go. Looking forward to hearing from fellow truck buffs.

Name is Eric and I own a few of the 67-72 Chevy and GMC era now several in the past. Current project being a 68 C20 I have a extra 1/2 ton SB frame and plan to combine the two. The only reason for this being that i haven't seen one. I have seen 1/2 tons with 3/4 ton axles on 4x4 trucks but this will be different. The powerplant is interesting and really seems to work well. 72 350 4 bolt main .030 over forged flat tops Vortec heads machined for .550 lift clearance. If you get the oppurtunity check out the Edlebrock "Air Gap" intake. They really do work well across the band. Hopefully i will get my act together and get some pics online to share with everybody such as you have. These trucks are about all I do if anybody has any question for me I would certainly be glad to be of service. Hey does anybody have a 14 bolt diff carrier they want to sell!

Hi My name is mike and i just became a member.It was because of James Blankton that i became aware of this forum. A member turned me on to this because Lone Oak Blankton ripped me off on ebay In a weird way it seems like it was worth it now that I know this site exists except it cost me alot of money. I have a 65 chev project truck.

Thanks! My name is Ralph @ 54. Our vehicle fleet contains -- 67 3/4 ton lwb
custom camper/ 83 Toyota 4x4/ 89 Honda Accord/ And a 05 Yamaha WR250
Enduro--35 hp's 4 stroke that rev's to 13,500/ and last but not least a 01 Suzuki gsx1300r HAYABUSA--i went 176 in 5th gear on it a couple of years ago. 83 in 1st/ 104 2nd/ 129 3rd/ 150+ 4th/ 6th DUNNO....using a gps unit. And 166 two weeks ago/ with saddlebags---50 mpg on 87 octane.
Really sick fun. 67 Chev is new to me now and having alot of fun little by little restoring it. My intention is to make it appear all stock in and out except for the cd player in the dash. And tommorrow purchasing a 11,000 dollar Lance Camper for it. Alcan highway sooner of later.

Hi, joined couple days ago, I'm in the Southern California area (Lake Perris, RIVERSIDE) have a 70 c-10 shortbed 2wd that my dad drove from Mexico and a 72 Blazer 2wd. I want to learn the best way to lower my 70 3-7 drop.

Previous owners started alot, finished little, and most of that needs corrected.....lol Thanks in advance for all your help in helping my nightmare become my dream....

Hi All,

I'm an industrial mechanic from Baltimore, MD and own a 1971 3/4 ton Chev, a 1946 GMC 1/2 and early 1947 GMC which is going to be a parts donor for the 46. The 71 is my daily driver and is replacing my 86 Chev 1/2 ton.

Any body have an idea as to where I might find info on the rear in my 71? I suspect it is an Eaton full floater, but can't confirm it or find a parts breakdown for it.
