Oh Man; second wind on project. I gots me some paint!

Just cost the first dusting on my body parts. Excited and nervous to see how it turns out. Figured I'd share. Everyone seems to love pics!

I think she's looking pretty hot so far! She might even turn a few heads once she gets fully dressed.

It's always nerve racking for me to get the gun out, but very exciting too. Congrats on the progress...looking great!

Thanks for sharing! I would love to know what type of paint equipment and supplies you use to complete your project. I am waiting for the weather to warm up and will be spraying some epoxy primer for the first time when the weather warms up.

That's the way to stimulate the economy! One truck part at a time! Looks good!

Re: Oh Man; second wind on project. I gots me some paint!

oh. did i make it sound like I was the one painting it? Sorry. It's not my handiwork. I wasn't brave enough. The guy I brought it to has 30 years of experience. Don't know how he gets the results he does in the space he works in, but who am I to question it?

I did a lot of prep and body work prior to bringing it up to him in hopes of reducing labor costs, and I do have the paint equipment, I just didn't build up enough courage to do it myself.

We'll see how this one turns out, but this actually isn't the cab I initially started on. I put $2000 of body work into a REALLY nice cab but then found another that was further along. I decided to buy that one to speed up the process. Now I'm left with enough parts to complete another truck! If this one is ever finished, and at the level I expect, then maybe I'll start on a second built. 4x4. This may end up being an addiction??

It must feel great to have your truck under the gun. It's just gets better now.

Fresh paint...just beautiful! Enjoy the rush (and not the fumes).

It's a gray color found on a Maserati I believe. I saw it on the Craftsman c10 and tried to do a color that was similar. Let me tell you, that stuff wasn't cheap! You can see from the pics, the color really changes depending upon the light that's shining on it. Will be fun when I get to do the "photo shoot" method I saw here on the forum.

Also the top has a very light pearl to it. Really looks nice IMHO vs the straight white. Don't get me wrong, straight white looks great, but when I asked him to add a little sparkle, this was perfect when I saw it in person.

We set the body and box this last weekend. Now it's on to wheels, tires, 6 to 5 lug spindles, rear axle conversion, etc etc. SO much money. Wow. Sure hope it will all be worth it in the end when it's completely set up!
