70' C10 LWB to SWB conversion; keep the been floors?

Hey Guys
i have a project lined up its a 70LWB c10
and i was planing on a SWB conversion. (brothers frame kit)

I am wondering if i can keep the bed floor( steel) and cut it to size
8 inch on the Tailgate side and 12 on the front of the bed?

+ possibly keeping the Cab Side Panel and the Tail gate.
So only replacing the side fleet panels.

the LWB panels are pretty beat up so i dont think its worth cutting and splicing them.

please see this as reference:

Shouldn't be a problem cutting the floor.

You might want to check out this kit for the frame chop.

If you search the threads there are a couple different methods members used to shorten the bed floor. i would provide inks but the search function doesn't work on my work computer. If you are going to use the brothers kit I would suggest purchasing it from them now because they are having a sale which brings the price down $70 to $399. Unfortunately their lowest shipping cost is $49. Use coupon code SPRING21. When they are not on sale it is cheaper to buy the kit from Performance online because they have a lower regular price and offer shipping that is cheaper and faster.

Edit: Looks like LockDoc suggested a more affordable option when I was writing this post. i just placed my order with Brothers yesterday, gonna try and call to cancel.
