1964 C10 parking brake question

I have a '64 short bed C10 with 11 inch drum brakes in the rear, and I am trying to install parking brakes. The original parking brake system was removed by someone long ago, including the arms inside the drum that the spring attaches to in order to put tension on the shoes to engage the brakes. I've not been able to find any. Does anyone know where I may be able to find the left and right parking brake lever arms that attach onto the drums to engage the parking brake? Is there a wide range of year models that may fit the '64? Thanks for any help.

Re: 1964 C10 parking brake question

You're in the same boat I was. The only thing left on my truck was the cable in the cab, and that turned out to be seized. Replaced everything. Used cab cable and handle. New cables underneath.

The pieces you need aren't repro'd to my knowledge. I got a used pair from Bill's Truck Shop up here. From a 67-73, though. He showed me where a little grinding was needed to make them work on my 65. Worked like a charm, I have perfectly functioning parking brake.

That picture doesn't show the park brake lever. it attaches to the shoe. They are actually obsolete for 64-66 trucks but newer ones work as they are almost the same.

Give Jaime at Aspen Auto in Fountain Hills AZ a call. He has a 60-66 wrecking yard, I bet he has a set.

I had this bookmarked, the year spread shown is different, not sure if parts will fit or not ...
