Crew cab carpet ? Which hump?

Hey all. I was gonna order my carpet for my 91 crew cab today and when I was talking to the sales person at Stockinteriors.com I told them my 91 crew cab 2wd with an auto. They said it was a low hump. My crew has a high hump in it. It measures around 7-1/2" ish off the floorboard. They argued and said it must of been changed. Uhhh.... It's a stamped peice. I'm thinking with the 91 and the first year with the 4l80, did they use the high hump in all 91's? I've seen the same hump in all the 91's I've searched for in pics at least 2wd anyway.
They list a 2wd 4spd, and 4wd high hump. Which one? Is the 2wd 4spd the same as a 4wd kit? The part numbers are different.

Has anyone ordered carpet here for a 91 2wd crew? I've seen a 90 crew 2wd 4spd that looks like mine.

They were supposed to get with the manufacturing facility today and call me with the measurements from the mold but haven't heard anything yet.

I looked at lmc and it shows the 2wd 4spd and 4wd the same kit???

Thanks a bunch
Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Crew cab carpet ? Which hump?

2wd automatic = low hump

everything else = 2wd 4spd and 4wd = high hump

at least up to 1987.

But I can't answer the question about if they all went high hump in 91.

Re: Crew cab carpet ? Which hump?

Keith, Thx for info. I knew that was the case for the early crews but for some reason 90-91 ish are high hump even in auto? Or at least 91?

I hate to order what they recommend (2wd auto) and then get stuck with a kit that won't be right in front. Hopefully I'll get some light shed on the subject here.

Thx again

Re: Crew cab carpet ? Which hump?

my 88 is a factory 4x4 auto, and it measures 7ish off the floor, with carpet and sound deadening(factory 6.2 stuff). so I'd say you need the high hump carpet probably.

Take a picture, it never hurts. Let's see what you have. If it is indeed a high hump, go ahead and order one for a 4x4 auto truck. They require you to cut the hole for the transfer case shifter anyway, so it would work fine on a 2wd truck. But definitely post a pic here and we'll take a look before you order anything.

Re: Crew cab carpet ? Which hump?

I know its a high hump. I've had several k30 trucks, subs and blazers. I just hoped someone with a 91 might have had the same encounter as I have had and can confirm that 91's are just a jacked up year for different stuff.

The whole different part number between 2wd 4spd and 4wd just made me curious also.

Re: Crew cab carpet ? Which hump?

Well I ordered the carpet kit and rest of interior that I needed. After getting with manufacturing and explaining to them about 91's, someone there agreed and said what I assumed . Since the part # I'm supposed to order came straight from them they said they would stand behind it if need to be. (2wd-4spd high hump). The sales person was still skeptical and thought ALL autos are low hump.
I just think 91' was a basturd year. Too many firsts and lasts and parts places can't get it straight either. Lol

Thx for those who chimed in. I'll post some pics when it's installed.
