Budget 1991 V3500 refresh..

Posted my 1991 V3500 for sale in several places and got a lot of smartass comments on Facebook with several so called truck guys calling it junk 😡.. so It motivated me to prove a point..
A tank of fuel in the pressure washer revealed an absolutely
mint rust free body and a Jasper reman engine..
Next is a new switching valve to get it running then I'll put my
4" Skyjacker frt springs on and my ORD shackle flip
With my white steelies and hubcaps..then off to my buddy for
Media blasting then epoxy primer and single stage dark blue
Air force paint...enjoy the pics

It's amazing how juvenile social media can be. Anybody who knows anything about trucks and pays the least bit of attention would know that they had a worthwhile rig if they had that truck. It'll be cool to see what you do with it.

Nice truck. So it's a gasser and not a 6.2?

I like it.

I have a 88 V30 Air Force truck, but with the 6.2 Diesel.

Re: Budget 1991 V3500 refresh..

Amazing what a difference the 4" softride lift and 305 70 16s on steelies make.
Truck sits for months at a time and fires right up..
I'll get a few rednecks to help set the bed back on tmrw

It's got a great stance with the lift and tires.

Re: Budget 1991 V3500 refresh..

Delivered a truck toa local Welding shop last week and when I pulled around to their back lot there it was ......a mint long bed with spray in liner ...had to grab it up for $400 with tailgate I'll put it on next week when then rain stops.my original bed is rust free but sides are rolled under from eing dropped on the ground by the dummies at the fire dept. When they put a flatbed and pump/tank on it

Re: Budget 1991 V3500 refresh..

Digging your truck. Tires and lift goes a long way to change the look. Did you do anything with the ORD shackle flip to help with the pinion angle or to get the axle back in its original location? I’ve got the shackle flip on my 3+3 but haven’t added any shims or axle offset plates yet.

Re: Budget 1991 V3500 refresh..

Actually the flip should negate the need for shims since it kicks the rear down..it's actually pretty smooth down the road.
