Need info/confirmation - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I pulled my sbc and am getting ready to install a bbc. The sbc had the correct 67 towers and I have a pair of 69 bbc towers. It appears the bbc towers move the bbc back about 1". Both eng blocks are 16" from the rear to the center of the motor mounts.

The bbc mounts do not set quite flat on the top of the frame

Looks like I will redrill the frame and saddle holes to move the bbc towers forward 1". I have the room in front for the bbc with a short water pump.

Need input.
