67 to 72 Short-Step-Side Dually

Anybody actually ever seen this unicorn? I have searched and found a squarebody but that's about as close as I have seen.
I think it would look tough with the stepside bed widened 6 inches, cab-n-chassis, 115" wheelbase.
Surely somebody has built one?
Anybody got any links?

Never seen anyone do that one but I've always wanted to do the same with an 8ft stepside.

Re: 67 to 72 Short-Step-Side Dually

Well I was unable to find this mystical creature of a Short Bed, Step Side, Dually pickup. I appreciate the info you guys shared. That pic of the square body dually sealed the deal.

Today began day #1 of my Short, Step Side, Dually build.

Maybe one of the moderators could move over "Homer's" build thread, don't know. Either way.

Bought a cab-n-chassis Friday and hauled her home. Car shows all day Saturday with Barrett-Jackson fever in town.
Spent Sunday cleaning the yard and organizing the area so I could get the dually in.
Started about 8:30 this morning stripping off the exhaust, gas tank, wiring, etc.
Cut the frame, boxed it in, and fish plated over the outside. Should be plenty strong. Even got it all painted in the area where I worked to keep the rust away.
Sorry for the re-post of the pictures I already added to "Meet Homer".
Now to find someone who needs a 1 ton dually cab-n-chassis frame with a high kick up and 175" wheelbase.
Anyhow, here's the pics. And oh yeah, I know the step notch is the preferred method, but in this case I was too close to the rear frontmost spring hanger.
