72 c10 rear end question

Hey guys i want to add rear disc brakes to my 72 longbed. I am planning on doing the 5.3L swap and am wondering if i would be able to use the rear axle assembly that already has the disc setup.. I would imagine one out of a silverado might work but i dont know, i am hoping that someone on here would know.. It would be easier for me to do it this way rather then updating my original axle which the str8 6 engine powered lol
