Here’s a clip of the Delta 50’s on my ‘58. Mile 454, the specs of the system are in my previous post.

Mark, that sounds sweet! They weren't overbearing on your driving video either. Love the color combo too!

I can listen to the radio or have a conversation, no problem. They would be even mellower behind a small block but still have a nice rumble

Decided on the Walker Quiet Flow. It will be a bit before I fire it back up but I hope they sound ok.

Re: “Quiet” performance mufflers

I'd say that you made a good choice with the Walkers. Those are pretty much the same as a factory big block Chevelle muffler would be.

My personal daily driver is a 98 BMW 528I and in the BMW group that I am in all the guys are trying to make their cars louder and for me one of the best parts driving the car is that at 80 mph it is still quiet and if you don't look up no one notices it. Plus I do a lot of 170 or so mile one way road trips and the quieter rig doesn't tire me out like my 71 did with exhaust that dumped in front of the rear tire with burned out glasspacks.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

^ I guess we aren't supposed to use headphones or earbuds while driving, but I got noise-cancelling headphones back when I flew a lot for company business. They made a huge difference in my fatigue level after a 5 hour flight.

I use headphones almost every day. Wind noise sets off my tinnitus so I put on headphones and listen to music while commuting.
