Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

No Problem Joe, just trying to keep this searchable for later use.
So if a person has a dealer name on paperwork they might see a correct emblem/sticker/plate frame. As we both know, knowing what you "need" is often as difficult as finding it.

Thanks for posting all of these great pictures and advancing the thread.

Yes, I read that. What I was asking about were dealer "tags", as in the plate itself. I gave Pete one from Galles Chevrolet that came off of a '71 K/20 I bought from NM many years ago. I have others, too.

Of course dealer license frame inserts/advertising plates are just as welcome and very appreciated.

Thanks again for the plate Tim! Here's another local Example - Ed Blacks, no longer with us. A Walmart sits on the former site.

Edit - I hate my iPad and here's an Ed blacks ad from 1979: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xh4fKx_tYwU

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

My Brother's '70 CST-10 has pot metal tags from Tepner Chevrolet...I located the dealer at one time, but can't remember where it was now...the first '70 CST-10 I had came from a dealer near OKC by the name of Hart.

I know that truck!
Saw it in an ad from Dallas last year. Canadian home market truck so the emblems are most likely:
GSL Chevrolet Calgary, AB

Its up again for even more $$$.

So loaded with options, yet so stripped by the popular upgrade comfort and convenience stuff most use to rate how well a truck is optioned. Another interesting example of how a truck could be so personalized and tailored to the buyer's specifics needs and wants. Especially wanting a high trim 1/2t for a camper hauler. A really neat truck, and I love the western motif on the dealer badge.

Not following you on this. As much as I'd like to get this thread back on track can you expand a little? Clearly this truck is well equipped for a Canadian 69 as a CST with 396, Auto, P/S, P/B. Plus all the HD items as well. IMHO about the only thing lacking is a posi. With the Travel Tanks too, this must have been a great long legged truck with a half-cabover camper appropriate for its rating.

Seems like this emblem was used at least 66-72.

Yeah, that's what I figure. I was saying it's not loaded as far as comfort and convenience options such as bucket seats, tilt column, tach, A/C, which are things most people look for in a "loaded" truck. He got the CST and stopped right there. The rest is all about performance.

Doesn't look like Roy is gonna be with us much longer!
(sorry Tim, forgot the info: not my rigs, green one is a 72 custom C20, I know you wanted 67-72 only but the rust colored 77 K10 happened to be parked beside it!)

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

This is a very cool thread!!! I am somewhat infatuated with original dealership history and documentation for my cars.
I have tracked down the current owner of the Oldsmobile dealer building in Fla for my '69 and now Im researching the original dealership for my '67 GMC
Ocean Lea GMC in Oceanside Long Island at 600 Atlantic Ave. Anyone have any info???
