towing mirror options....

We have a 1968 suburban and tow a 25 airstream type trailer with . Just curious what options we have for mirrors with the stockers its really hard to make lane chages. I have some old fender mirrors but they look horrible.

Here's a pic of DF2 camper mirrors...the arms can be rotated outward to extend the mirrors well away from the cab

Re: towing mirror options....

In '68 the option would have been for Sr. West Coast mirrors. The RV JRs might get you by. In '69 the mirror situation improved with the below eyeline and camper/towing mirrors shown. The camper mirrors are just what you need. If you don't want that look permanently, you may already have your solution, temporary trailering mirrors. They look about the same as the GM mirrors, just further forward...which is a good thing. Hey, your Suburban only looks like that when you have a big silver loaf of bread dragging behind. The mirrors explain themselves pretty clearly in that situation and I think they look just right.

Re: towing mirror options....

I love the look of those forward tow mirrors. Maybe not for everyday use, but when hooked up...
