500 Hp Wayne head 261
This popped up on another forum a bit ago.
This shop built a 500 Hp 261 with a Wayne head and more tricks than a three ring circus. Long video but real interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKIjsXUMvhc Johnson's hot rods is putting the 261 in a TF Burb.

It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around. |

Mick might know those guys on a first name basis.
It takes someone willing to spend the money to pay for work like that to be able to create pieces such as the rear main seal setup that could possibly be a reality for someone else down the line.

Now THAT is going to make one heck of a trailer hauler with a very unique engine . Not to mention hot rod on its own .
But the $$$$$$$ to get there had better be worth the COOL factor for a one of UNIQUE build .

I like the blending of vintage and new technology in this one. The roller cam setup is definately a possibility for anyone in the future. Using the fuel pump boss for the ignition pickup is another one I find interesting. It would allow for late model fuel injection and coil pack setup.
Now, the horsepower per dollar spent, that's another issue. Still pretty cool. |
