Post Different Style Ball Joints

According to Classic Performance Parts all of the upper and lower control arms are all the same from 67-72. If this is correct than can I install 71-72 ball joints in my 67 control arms? Is that all I'll need to change if I want to install 72 drop spindles? The reason I am asking is that 2.5" drop spindles for my 67 are about $300 US but ChassisTech sells 2.5" drop spindles for 71-72 for $170 and their good quality. Any help would be grateful!!

Thanks

I have the same question

I just got the disc brake assembly from a '70-'72 3/4 ton and plan to put these on my '68 1/2 ton.

If you went ahead and did this reply to me I want to know before I get started if everything will fit.

Stock or dropped spindles for a '71-'72 1/2 ton will bolt on with the use of '71-'72 ball joints. I'm not sure if the 3/4 will though. You also need to address the tie rod problem as the '71-'72 ends have a larger diameter threaded shaft. Craig at Chevy Duty www.chevyduty.com can supply a stepped tie rod sleeve that uses the '67-'69 inner rod end and the '71-'72 outer end.
