Re: Lets see your Toolbox!

Here's my box at work when I first got it. Snap On man called my bluff. I said I would only buy a new box if it was a 67 chevy c-10 edition. Well he made arrangements and paid to have it airbrushed threw in the stainless top and a cover. I added the fender emblem. How on earth do you guys keep your drawers so organized in your work boxes? Mine are a mess half the time, we arent allowed to put away and organize on the clock and dont have 2 minutes between jobs as they are movin in as finished ones move out. I just keep commonly used tools on my cart and shove crap around in my box when I get a chance. Nice boxes though guys, dont see many like that round here, no one can afford them.

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!

thats so true I have a roll around cart but there's just a point you have to stop and put up all the tools in the cart to be able to find anything. Also when I open a drawer I know exactly what is missing. beleve me I been tested on that one.

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!

At work most of the time I have tools everywhere. It isn't a good practice because tools get lost this way. So I try to pick them off and clean them up after each big job. Or at the end of the week or month. Whatever comes first.

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!

Not Much but what I have. The big one I have had 10+ years. I keep 90% of my tools in it. The small one was the first roll around box I ever bought. It was 87 and my freshman year in college. The BMW I had would break down every week and I hatted working out of an over crowed carry around. I keep body, electrical, weird and specialty tools in it now.

I was hoping to find something in yellow, but the price said "Purple works!"

Gotta hate it when it takes up 1/3 of the garage

WELCOME TO THE BOARD Northern neighbor!
Sure wish I had enough tools to store in such a beast...
I would gladly give up a third of my garage!
PS--I personally like the purple...

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!

the black cart I just got, still in the box for now.
the red box I've had for quite a while. I have about $700 in it and it will handle any thing any compairable size Snap-on box will.
the Pink one I just got my girlfreind for christmas, make sure Google is on "Safe search" if you try to look for one !
the black Snap-On is my company issue'd box I use at work. it's a nice box, just WAY over price'd !

Can always repaint it. Some Cat, or John Deere industrial yellow would be nice. Easy to find too...

As long as the nail in not the one on my thumb, I'm good.

It is good to have the right hammer for the job though. Here are a few of mine.

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!

Well, I'm a Mac guy but I really like the Masters series from Snap on. Here's my newly acquired mac box. I downsized from my 88" Macsimizer to this 67" and boy is it nice to actually be able to walk around this one. I left the automotive field for a better job in robotics a year ago and have finally brought myself to sell the macsimizer along with many of my specialty (when am I ever gonna use this) tools. That and my girlfriend couldnt pull her car in the garage. Not sure how its gonna fit once i havemy bed on, but we'll see. I prefer cabs to cab + chest combo's for the extra workspace but it does get tough to keep yourself from junking up the worktop as you can tell. Hard to get a good shot with the 68 on jackstands but you get the point. And it matches the truck! hopefully i dont fill this one up too soon. i may just get one of the roller cart-drawer combos since it looks like I may not fit all my stuff in there.
