yes im gunna lower the front 2 1/2 more and the rear level with that
then put some 17s on it. eventualy i will bag the whole truck after everything ekes is done and i have more money

so i put a set of monte carlo rear springs on the truck and it lowered it about 3" in the rear.
got the rest of it blocked out them put it in the paint booth at school and got another coat of primer sprayed !!! paint is coming close!!!

What year Monte did the springs come off of? I imagine putting Monte springs on to lower the rear saves alot of money since resto companies are Very proud of their lowering springs for sale. Good job!

there out of a 71 monte but i took them back out and replaced them with cpp drop coils

Looking great, you've made a lot of progress in a short amount of time. I live in Shoreline also--grew up in Lake Forest Park, and went to Shorecrest High. I had a great time in auto shop, but didn't learn half the skills that you have!

Thats a sweet truck! Im new here and just read the whole thread, you have done a really good job. It really inspires me to start on my 68. Cant wait to see more pics & some color.
What year monte springs did you use?

Was the rear of your truck sitting at stock ride height before you put the Monte rear springs in it? What is the measurement from the ground to the top of the wheel well in the rear now? I guess those spring will bolt right up? |

yes i had the stock oils in the rear and the monte colis bolt right up like the stock ones. ill have to get back to you on the hight because the truck is in the paint booth at school right now but i will let you know

the truck came home today !!!!! time to finnish body work and get ready to paint
i am now working at les schwab tires so i think that this summer i will try to do my 5 lug convertion and get some different wheels on it ! Quote:
