Unexplained dash holes?

Does anyone know the 2 holes on my dash bottom on the drivers side right of the A/C vent and and the pas side on the left of the A/C Vent. Something they used during assembly maybe??

Re: Unexplained dash holes?

Pretty sure those are the locating holes to align the dash to the dash brace before the factory spot welded them together .

Re: Unexplained dash holes?

I'm thinking a G.O M stated its something left over from assembly.

Re: Unexplained dash holes?

They must be for a assembly fixture. They appear too be the same size as the unidentified holes on the bottom of front bumpers.

Re: Unexplained dash holes?

Look like assembly locating holes. I mounted my under dash interior lights in them.
