Wink intake & engine paints


have a new edelbrock intake for sbc, can clear spray spray be used to protect it and the carb? also do we need to use engine paint?

If the intake has the exhaust crossover, that will get hot enough to burn normal paint.

I did mine a while back and it started turning hazy yellow after a year or so
