Driver_WT Registered User Join Date: Dec 2017 Location: River John, NS Posts: 448	Door Latch Striker Plates - 1950 versus 1953 I have a 1953 Chevy truck with doors from a 1950 Chevy truck. I ordered new striker plates for a 1950 Chevy truck but they do not fit on the door jamb of my 1953 Chevy truck - mounting surface of the striker plate where the screws go in is about 1/4" to 3/8" away from the door jamb and of course the new striker plate screws I ordered are not long enough. Which striker plates should I be using with these doors? Thanks. Wade __________________ 53 Chevy 3100, SBC 355, 700R4, S10 frame, Ford 8.8 rear with 4.11 gears, front disc & rear drum brakes
