looking for some opinions

Just looking for some opinions. I have always liked the look of fat tire/wheel combinations under all four wheel drive trucks but especially under the 67-72’s. These are 12x15 wheels with my old 35” tires mounted. Not sure its enough tire or how much lift I’m going to need. Thoughts???

Re: looking for some opinions

That looks good. I love those rims. Ive been trying to buy some but have had no luck finding in 15x12. I found some 15x10's but the guy wants 1,000 for all 4. Anyways, On my blazer ive got 8" lift 15x12 M/T classic 2 36"x13.50 M/T Baja Belted. No body lift or shackle flip all spring lift by skyjacker. I do want to go with a 35" tire instead. In my opinion go with 6-8" with does tires. That fat tire look is common here in CAL and thats the look I like also.

Not that ride comfort is everything but how does that 8” skyjacker ride?

Re: looking for some opinions

I have a 6" lift on one my blazers with a 35" tire - no issues at all. Can't speak to ride quality - since I still have lift blocks on the back - - one day it will be an all leaf spring lift.

Best looking (IMHO) is a 4" lift with 35"s on it.

Those look killer. I've been wanting rims like that for years, no luck so far.

Re: looking for some opinions

I just got these this week off of ebay. Someone had plans for them but never got around to mounting them. He had four 12x15’s and a 10x15. I was actually looking for 10” but I’m pretty happy with the 12’s

Re: looking for some opinions

That looks to be from a lack of a set of 'zero rates' to shift the axle back 1 to 1.5"

I would'nt know. Ive been working on it for some years now and all I have is a rolling chassis. You know how that goes. I checked my tire size and I meant to say it's 36"x14.5 not 36"x13.5

Re: looking for some opinions

You are correct sir. Just an old set of 4” blocks from a previous owner. The truck is actually lifted up in the picture by my small hoist with the suspension fully extended.

Re: looking for some opinions

I gotta ask.... what are those bars/strut deals going from the top of the windshield frame down to the floor/door?

Re: looking for some opinions

That’s threaded rod that was used as bracing during floor and rocker replacement. Rod runs from seat belt bolts to top of windshield frame. Using a jamb nut under a bracket at the top allows for some adjustment to help obtain nice gaps around the door. They could come off now but the tub will be coming off of the frame soon so I’m planning to just keep them on for support.
