Re: Quadrajet Help

Left pic. Left to right.
Choke pull off.
Air vent to air cleaner.
Not sure.
Manifold vacuum.
Vapor line to charcoal canister.
Ported vacuum.
Right pic same idea.
No idea on first one.
Red cap is manifold vacuum for power brakes.
Blue one is air vent valve for divorced choke.
7 out of nine for me. Do I win anything??

Re: Quadrajet Help

Thanks Geez, 7/9 better than 0/9, 1st prize. I have problems with flooding, can this be caused by wrong port connections? Engine will start with rough idle and shutdown, can't be restarted until hours later. It had a 17080220, pulled because it was leaking fuel from the canister port. The 220(preferred) has fewer valve ports but leak made me nervous. Any assistance is appreciated.

Re: Quadrajet Help

Wrong ports won't cause flooding. Probably some crap in the needle and seat. Might need to rebuild it. Some links for you.

Re: Quadrajet Help

I thought that could be the problem, however it was working fine until I install new engine gaskets. I will rebuild tomorrow to see if that fixes my issues. Thanks for the assistance.
