New to the Forum

Hi Everyone.
Just got approved to post here, so here I am. I just bought a 1977 C10 1/2 ton short box 350/350 and I'm just waiting to take delivery on it early next month.
I see from your posts that there's a lot of knowledgeable people here.
I hope to be sharing pics soon.

Re: New to the Forum

welcome. Your bed is off a 81-87. The 73-78 trucks had a round gas cap. 79-87 has the square gas door.

Ya, It's a later model bed. But that's okay. I would have changed it anyway because I like the gas doors. Good catch though. You know your trucks.

Change the wheels and paint it you'll have a pretty nice truck. The only real limit of what you can do to these trucks is your wallet. Is it going to be your daily driver or more of a weekend toy?

Looks a lot more solid than mine did when i bought it! Only thing i regret about mine. You're WAY ahead starting with a rust free truck. Are you going to go with the trim on the side?

This is going to be a daily. I'm disabled so I can't really afford to to do anything to costly to it. Build a motor, drop it a bit and paint is about it.

No trim. I like the look of a shaved body. I'd like to go with a 3 tone. Burgundy with medium and dark gray accents. Maybe a blue pearl in the clear coat. Just depends on what I can afford.
I was lucky finding a 'no rust' body. The guy I got it from had just replaced the fenders, hood and bed. Plus he threw in 2 new fuel tanks, an extra tail gate, a new rear roll pan and the original hood. All for $1,350
