New brake lines

70 GMC C20

Rear brake line that runs down the pass side of the truck is 2 pieces.
1 long piece, 1 cross over piece that are connected w/a ferrel.

Stupid question.....
The cross over piece goes to the rear distribution block near the master cylinder? The pics I've found, Im not sure.

At the rear, the line bends from the frame to a connection located under the center of the bed. It is a bent tab that supports the upper half of a steel to rubber line connection. The rubber line allows flexing to a T union located at the top of the rear differential cover, from there one line goes left and the other right along the axle tubes to the wheel cylinders. There should be a T located at or near the rear diff cover. Up front under the MC inside the frame, the rear brake line goes to a single line 1/4" union connection. JUST replaced the wife's brake lines on her 72 GMC C15.... from the master cylinder... her has booster and the proportioning valve, but past this I understand they are all the same... There is a piece that drops down next to inner fender on driver side, THEN a coupler to piece that runs along crossmember to the pass side frame rail, couplers there again to long piece that runs the frame rail to the rear end to the rubber hose then the T to each rear drum

Sounds like I might be missing a coupler.
Installed long line on frame, installed cross over line which looks a bit short of the master.

These are a few pics when i was doing my brake lines. Hopefully they might help mine is a 1970 c10

I had to take a bit of it apart, off the truck, which was fine.
Since I have 4 drums, the cross over piece for the rears goes to the bottom rear hole of the distribution block. There is no missing pieces.

I am having a devil of a time w/pre-bent lines not bent correctly.
Yes... I bought the kit, OEM metal, for my truck(smile).

Still havin fun tho...Don.

yeah I bought same kit I think... They are bent in the APPROXIMATE locations! lol Good luck! It works out in the end!

I expected some adjustments to be made but the line for the front brakes, distribution block to the front tee, is 180 outta wack. Still tweeking it hoping it don't kink.

If you can't manage to get that line into shape, you might try some Nicopp line. Easy to bend by hand, or can use a bender if needed. It's fantastic to work with and flaring is a breeze. The only downside is the color wouldn't match your other lines if that matters.
