72 Cheyenne Super C20 Question

I have a question and I hope someone may have seen these items before. I bought my 72 Cheyenne Super C20 from the original owner many years ago, 1994 and I am now wondering if the two items below in the pics that came with the truck were installed by the dealership or the factory. I have never seen a wiper blade deflector shield before but I understand what the reason for one is. And I am just curious if the floor mats are original. They have the GM logo, are very thick and well made. My impression from the original owner was that these items came with the truck when he bought it.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super C20 Question

I can't confirm, but I do know those mats came from factory in Squarebody trucks. Not sure if this type came in those since '73 or if they were available in these years. They definitely came in the 81-91s. No mats came in these trucks from factory. The wipers with deflectors may have been available as GM accessories, but weren't an available option. These may have been like Ventshades, available through GM accessory program as well as the aftermarket. Definitely in the aftermarket. I have some accessory brochures I can check

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super C20 Question

The wiper blades were a popular replacement item back in the day. This link even has some history included. I always knew them as "wind lifts".
