Need HELP with turn signal switch
Here are a couple of photos (front and back) of the turn signal switch in my 1964 Chevrolet C-10 truck. The only markings on the switch is "BOYNE" and "BPGW".
I am trying to identify a replacement for this. I believe at some point in time that the original column has been replaced. It is an automatic, non-tilt column (tranmission shift and turn signal levers only, no key switch). |

Re: Need HELP with turn signal switch
Could you post pics of the column itself? That might help a little bit.

Re: Need HELP with turn signal switch
That looks like the switch that comes on that model. Have you checked the specialty parts spliers. They probably have new ones. I used to remove the horseshoe & repair them. There are some copper spring contacts under there. Sometimes you can bend the contacts to make it work. Its pretty tedious & requires a needle nose pliers & steady hand.

Re: Need HELP with turn signal switch
Here's a picture of the complete column (the auto transmission indicator lens on top of the column is not shown. Also, turn signal lever is not connected).
The signals work and so does the horn, but wear and tear is beginning to take it's toll, thus the desire to replace. Also the signals will not cancel when turning the wheel. WHAT actually activates a the cancelling mechanism? A picture would be helpful. |
