I’m looking to come with my son, on Thursday also. Do you know how to find a schedule for this event? The website does give any information.
Thursday is the ONLY we can come, as his leave is coming to an end and we have to drive out on Friday
I’ll be lookin for ya.

Thanks! I picked it up after Setn. I’m not in love with it, but figured it would come in handy for a dry place to keep my stuff.

I sure don’t. Just been keeping up with their facebook postings. I do know there is a cruise through the mtns. Thursday that leaves around 2pm. I’m definitely going to check out the Wheels through time museum.

Re: Maggie Valley NC

Alright, alright, alright.
I just got off the phone with Rodney (the Guy that organized this show. He’s local to me )
He gave me the Quick rundown
The gates open to the event 8 AM Thursday, with a cruise through the are that starts at 2 PM.
Tomorrow I’m going to try to get by his shop tomorrow to get the whole schedule.
Rodney used to hold a benefit show at our local Lowe’s but it got too big for their parking lot.
I’m looking forward to Thursday

I regret to say that Dale is no longer with us. Passed away last year. The museum is still going strong. Dale was a hell of a good guy and is missed by many.

Ugh, they finally move it (used to be my wife's birthday weekend every year - mid July) and it's on the weekend I scheduled a vacation.

Weather looks gorgeous this weekend too.

Come on up. It’s only about an Hour and a half drive for you.
I used to make the trip from NE Columbia to my new current house about twice a month, so I know the road and travel times well.

Re: Maggie Valley NC

As usual, Rodney put on a great event.
Thursday was the only day I could go because of other commitments but we had a great time. We planned on “a couple hours” but ended up staying all day
Talked to a board member, and was expecting to see more, but again I was only there one day.
They have a nice swap meet area too.
I scored a factory Heater control for my truck, in beautiful condition, for way less than half of what a new Reproduction one would have cost me.
This same vendor had a pair of NIB (Not NOS) Sport Mirrors too. I didn’t ask what he wanted for them as I don’t need them.
I’m definitely going to put this on my calendar for next year.
I took some pictures of some trucks, but I’m having issues with finding them “in the cloud”
I hope somebody has better luck than I’m having

Next year I plan on bringing my truck, no matter where I’m at with the progress.
Thursday there were about 50 or 60 trucks, and the swap meet area wasn’t full yet.
I’m only about 30 miles from Maggie Valley but I’m looking at getting a cabin there for the three days.
I’m also only about 20 miles from Pigeon Forge, but the Rod Run has become SO large and traffic so chaotic, that it takes the fun out of being there.
In addition, instead of a good show and enjoyable cruise, the strip has become a 5 mile long used car lot, for just about anything with wheels

That was Southern Parts you spoke to and bought the controls. Board member Uncle was on one side of him and I was on the other. Great weather and a great show.

Yep quit going to PG years ago because of the traffic.
