N90 rims on a TF?

I am looking at a set of N90 rims from an 81 Camaro and I’m torn in how they would look on my 56. Anybody seen that before or any good with photoshop?

Re: N90 rims on a TF?

If it is this one, they look a bit gaudy and out of place when put on older vehicles.

Rather like those Pontiac Trans Am Egg crate wheels of the 70's. They looked ok on a Trans Am but when you put them on anything except a Firebird they just didn't look right.

Seems like Advertisers can't agree what an N 90 wheel is so if it is the cast looking five spoke those might look pretty good but the polished 5 spoke might look settled for.

I'd want to try one on for size and back spacing before I put out any money though as the wms to wms on those year Camaros is really wide and the backspacing is real deep. you don't want to have to buy a set of spacers that cost more than the used wheels do just to be able to run a set of bargain wheels to have big rims.

Re: N90 rims on a TF?

Lol. Ya I actually have the bottom two styles right now. The middle set I have is 8 inch front and 9 inch rear 16”. I want a RWL tire but I’m having trouble finding a 16” tire with RWL. The Z28 rims are the ones I’m likely gonna use but I like the looks of the top set (N90) but wasn’t sure what that would look like, gawdy like you said was what I’m afraid of.

After some thoughts I’ll probably keep on my current path and if I get bored with it later I can change. It’s not like I’m days form getting on the road anyway right now.

Everyone has their likes and dislikes on wheel style. One guy's gaudy is another's cool as all get out.

You haven't seen gaudy until you see what some of the local to this area tire shops sell though.
