We're finally getting to do some "little things" on the truck.

Joe touched up all of the missing black on the front end, wheel weights and side marker lights on Saturday. We got it all ready for a local cruise at the VFW 15 miles away . . . drove over and found out it was F R I D A Y night !!!

( I hope this isn't the start of a new chapter . . . "Project: C.R.S." !!! )

We're planning on going back THIS Friday night, so we'll have some pictures with the "new" wheel covers soon.

Looks great! I wish mine was in that condition so maybe the wife wouldn't try and have me get rid of it (not going to happen). Can't wait to see more pics.

Joe put another coat of the "wood boat" wax on the bed today.

The wax must be doing what it's supposed to . . . the wood still looks about the same as it did two years ago when I finished it.

( of course, it's never been wet and hardly sees the sun !!! )

The wood bed saw a little sunlight today.

Joe and I went to a "judged" show at the local high school.

There were 144 cars and trucks there . . . and beautiful weather.

We didn't come home with a trophy, but are bellies are full.

We parked along the curb, which made the $500 toolbox really stand out !!!

I love the box/floor finishing.

I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind. When you put your box and bed back together, does the front bed panel sit on top or under the wood floor? And do the side panels bolt to the cross braces directly or through the wood floor?

May sound like dumb questions, but I purchased an unfinished project and am just about to do a trial fit of the pieces.

I wish I could answer your question, but I didn't do any of that work myself and the guy who did it is unavailable now - Thanks for the compliments anyway !!! I'm also not near the truck at the moment to go check it out.

Harvey, the wood sets on top of the front panel and the bolts go through the wood and panel to keep it from flexing. And then the bed sides bolt through the wood and through the rails. I just did mine a couple of months ago. Hope this helps.

My bed is held down from the bottom, instead of having those big bolt heads sticking out of that EXPENSIVE wood.

. . . health issues are forcing me to sell it and move out of state.
We've enjoyed it for 19 years, I just wish it was worth more then HALF of what I have in it !!!

The truck was SOLD today . . . it went to a "good home".

We had nineteen years of enjoyment out of it . . .
