Replacement door sills ?

I just purchased a replacement sill panels ('56 Chevy) from one of the big suppliers of classic automotive parts and am disappointed with the quality of the corrugation. In the new panel there is not much definition to the crest and troughs. Seems much flatter than the original. Not sure you can see it in the picture, but the sill step area is much more flat than original. Is this as good as it gets with replacement panels? If some vendors produce a better panel, I will return these and try again.

It is not a restoration project, just a hot rod. I guess I can live with the flat corrugation and no rust.

Thanks for any comments and recommendations.
