check this out

I was crawling around under my truck looking at brake lines and fuel lines and I happened to look up to where the spark plugs are and noticed one looked odd. So, I crawled out and went to the engine bay for a closer look

I think what happened is whoever installed the exhaust for the previous owner had to burn out a bolt from the manifold connection and he forgot to shield the plug wire. If you look closely you can see a little bit of red electrical tape where they must have wrapped it to hide it, but the voltage just burned back thru.
