Fuel Pump

Is there such thing as an in-tank electric fuel pump for the stock fuel tank behind the seat of a '72? If so, has anyone used one who can comment on it? Thanks.

Re: Fuel Pump

I don't know of anyone who makes a setup like that, and you likely would regret doing it from the noise it would make. Doing an in-line no the rail below the tank would work better, or doing an in-tank in a rear tank location would be best long-term.

Re: Fuel Pump

I had a inline frame mounted pump on my 68 with in cab fuel tank, and changed it over to a in tank fuel pump , I made the pump my self utilizing a stock 72 fuel sending unit and a walboro fuel pump . And the reson why was because the frame mounted pump was loud , now everything is nice and quiet. it was easy to make.

Re: Fuel Pump

That sounds pretty cool. Do you have any pictures of how it turned out?
