has anyone used a hydrobooster off of an express van?

i have an 09 3500 express van im using as an engine/trans donor. i will be replacing the original booster/master/prop valve while the engine is removed. im trying to decide between a hydrobooster and traditional vacuum booster. if the van hydrobooster would work, that would save me some cash as i already have it the shop...

Re: has anyone used a hydrobooster off of an express van?

I too pulled a hydroboost unit off of a Express van. All I've done is drill a hole in the firewall on the 54. I do know the master cylinder is friggin huge on them due to the equally huge calipers. I think a master cylinder from a Tahoe or Silverado will work better. I don't know what you're using it on, but you may want to make sure you have a power steering pump that has enough pressure also.
