Re: Grams '53 (1953 Chevrolet Belair)

Hey John, neat car. Looks like my son will be picking up a 53 4dr Belair like yours tomorrow. Funny thing is the heater isnt hooked up in his either. Have u tried to pull your core? Just curious how much of a job it will be.

Keep the updates comin!

Scott

Re: Grams '53 (1953 Chevrolet Belair)

Car is from Creston IA (Western, southwestern I think).

I dropped the heater box (a beech) its kinda complicated, esp compared to 67 72

Need to lube cables etc puttin new hoses on, no real updates, dad doesnt mess with it, only me mostly, I put stabil in it and took it for a ride, no updates since then...

Re: Grams '53 (1953 Chevrolet Belair)

Just now surfing this alternative thread & read this whole post...
Very cool old car & that it's family passed down makes it that much more cool! Don't paint it or re-do the interior. Nothing is better than original paint & that old car smell!!!

Man that interior looks awesome! The whole car looks great! Do you have any idea how to find a good forum like this one for these cars? Thanks.

Re: Grams '53 (1953 Chevrolet Belair)

Newtz67- This is Brittany, John's girlfriend. He is in Basic Training right now for the Airforce. I got to talk to him today and asked him about a forum. He said, "No I don't." Sorry.. I'm sure if he ever finds one he will let you know.
