Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways

Thanks guys. I'm planning on painting it in two weeks now. It's finally cooling down enough to spray at the shop.

Sorry, i missed this. I got the light from my Mac Tools guy, cost around $80. It's an Underhood Light...I love it and use it a lot with work. It's the flourescant one so it is pretty bright.

Yeah, Kept going with body mods and body work. Finally have the paint and a booth to spray it in. If everything stays in track I will be painting this Tuesday!

Please tell me that you are going to pull all the chrome and mouldings off before you paint.

I dont mess around with half assed paint jobs. Way too much time invested for that nonsense.

Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways

Why would you sand the car with the trim still on and risk scratching it?

Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways

Here's a teaser shot while the clear dries up. I'll post more when I get it all back together in a few days. I'll have to wet sand a couple runs and dirt spots but overall the paint turned out real nice!

Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways

Man, that is just too damn cool.

That baby blue and silver top work out really well on it. It's a nice change from white, though that would've popped as well.

I just showed my dad what you started with, and where it is now. Roughly, if you don't mind me asking, how much do you have stuck in your Biscayne?

And what're your plans for it now? Just roll it? Or any other changes you plan on making?

Great job again man. Your C10 has an honorable garage partner, that's for sure.

Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways

Thanks Sam! As it is, I've got maybe 2000 tied up in it. Still needs windshield and interior done though. I'll probably finish those two and call it good, although if I come across a nice vortec 4200 setup I'll surely put it in this car!

Also, I'm planning on painting the stock wheels with leftover silver and clear. I'll post more pictures when the bumpers get installed too.

Thanks! We had a Thanksgiving dinner party and bonfire Sat. Trunk worked out great. I use the Hobart Handler 140 MIG. It's a great machine.
