Engine for my c10

So instead of rebuilding the C10's 350, I was looking at putting together this engine

Vortec cast intake - https://www.ebay.com/itm/17471686261...kAAOSwA3dYP0E2

Summit Vortec heads- https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-151124

ZZ350 short block- https://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-19419042

10105117 head gasket .015 compressed- https://www.ebay.com/itm/30354225752...53.m1438.l2649

08-411-8 Comp Cam- (extreme 4x4 210/218@.50, .474 lift
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-08-411-8

1978 Big 10, currently 350, Th350, 3.08 235/75r15 Looking for more midrange power, might even go to 3.23 gears. Mix of highway and street driven.

Re: Engine for my c10

I have a simaler build roller cam block comp extreme 4x4 cam vortec heads edlbrock preformed intake

Had the valve seal tower cut down by machine shop same size seal as stock
Comp cams makes a tool to do this as well

It will run well

If I went marine intake I would go for the fuel injected one and run it on a 411 ecm

Re: Engine for my c10

I would not use a marine carb intake, I'd get a performer RPM.
I would use oem vortec heads instead of aftermarket.
Cam and shortblock look good. Build wise great combo.
