Size:  60.7 KBDoing a front disc conversion on my 59 and these rubber washers are in the box with the calipers. About 1 1/2 inches diameter and 3/8 thick.

Nothing I have ever seen connected to brakes. unless they were used as spacers to keep the pads in a set of loaded calipers in place.

if its not on parts list as part of the instructions. I agree they are just packing material for shipping.

I just had a funny thought, the are probably the spacer pieces/weather seal for some kit that they make that they have been looking all over the shop for.

The only reason that I can figure they would be in that box outside of by accident is as spacers between the pads of loaded calipers though.

Each caliper was in its own plastic bag and both contained one of these washers like they were meant to be there. Spent a hour or so trying to figure out where they go.

Material? Rubber? Can't be a spacer if soft... or it's a very forgiving spacer.
