'00 2WD w/V6 & 4l60e

Hi, I am considering getting a '00 2WD EXT Cab 1/2Ton w/a 4.3 & auto tranny. I have a '99 w/a manual tranny 4wd standard cab. Anyways, how much of a power loss would it be going thru the auto tranny versus the manual?? This will be used mainly to haul myself & the kids around with only moderate hauling. I still want to use it as a truck, but I have no plans of towing with it, maybe occassionally when needed, nothing regularily...

The Auto should have more towing capacity than the manual. Check most any manufacture's website, and compare capacites of the two...
Some auto's are getting better mpg's on the highway and in town as well...just an observation as I was Old School, but am learning the new facts as well...
