TBI Removal Help

As the title says, I'm looking for some tips and pointers on removing the entire TBI system.
A friend of mine just picked up and 88 suburban for parts,
He has agreed to give me the engine and all associated TBI parts if I help him remove the trans. He plans on doing an LS swap and has no need for the engine or associated wiring, I would like to swap over the TBI system into my 85 k20, assuming I can manage to get everything out.

My goal is to take it all, and rebuild the engine.
So far I understand to remove the TBI unit, distributor, fuel pump relays and pretty much all the wiring harness from the engine bay.
The ECM behind the glove box?
All the connectors to it, is there anything that I'm missing, any wires that go to the fuse box?
thanks in advance

Re: TBI Removal

Myself I would start removing the wiring and everything it attaches to. I don't know the specifics of the TBI configuration as we have always removed the TBI and went to a carb setup. Hopefully someone who has done it will chime in for ya.

Re: TBI Removal

I am putting an '88 engine with TBI into a '47. There is a wiring harness under the dash with some wires going through the bulkhead connector on the drivers side, and some wires going to the bulkhead passthrough on the passenger side. I don't know offhand if you need any of this, but I have been studying the wiring diagram and could check. The '88 has the DRAC incorporated into the gauge cluster. I got a DRAC from a '92 or something that I will use. There is also a dual switch for the brake pedal that actuates the light, and sends a signal for the auto trans, or RWAL.
