Fan (and clutch?), radiator, shroud

My 350 HO crate motor will be here on Wednesday!

I need a fan, radiator and shroud, as I am sure that the 1-row radiator I have now with the 250 i6 won't do the trick.

Truck is a 1980 C10...

Any recommendations on what to get? flax fan or rigid, with clutch? Brand? Size? Need it to run in reverse, since I have the serpentine setup...

Which radiator and shroud should I get? Gonna have AC and a 700R4...

Thanks in advance for your thoughts...

Re: Fan (and clutch?), radiator, shroud

OK, here is what I bought...

Shroud came from LMC...

Upper - 32-2860
Lower - 32-2865

Not sure why it makes a difference about AC or W/O AC on the lower shroud, maybe the W/O AC one would hit the factory compressor?

Got the 4 radiator pads too, and the clips to connect upper shroud to lower.

Fan and Clutch from Summit...

Got the Derale 17918 18" clutch fan, and the Hayden 2734 HD Clutch. Both CCW, counter-clockwise rotation, to work with serpentine belt setup...

Just need to buy a radiator now, will get that local from auto parts store...

Hopefully this setup will all work together, and keep the 350 HO cool with the AC running, in the Houston heat, in traffic...

Re: Fan (and clutch?), radiator, shroud

I've got the same serpentine kit to put on my 383. My truck already has a V8 so I'm good on the radiator and shroud but I'd planned to use a fan and clutch from an 88-98 truck as those are serpentine, just pointing out a possible option.

I don't know for sure the difference between AC and non-AC shrouds, but the lines do run across the top of the shroud, maybe it's attachment points for the AC lines. I haven't had a non-AC truck to see if they're not there.

Re: Fan (and clutch?), radiator, shroud

We sell the Champion radiators which are affordable and had good feedback. There are other choices such as Griffin or BeCool, but for the money, this radiator has done well and fits in the budget better.

Why not go electric fan? You wouldn't need all that other crap. Looks a lot cleaner.

Don't like them. Something else to break. I don't think they work as well... just my opinion...

You live in Houston!! You need the biggest radiator you and fit. Since A/C will be used, close the gap between the condenser and radiator. You need max air flow through the condenser.

Every interesting radiators. I'll have to look at them. If it can keep my truck cool, it's something I'll order right away.
