NP208 mounting studs

Hey guys, I have installed a nv4500 behind the 350 in my 68 k20. I have a NP208 that I am wanting to mount to the the transmission, but I didn't get the mounting studs with the tcase. Does anyone know what the thread pitch is for the 208, or the part number? Maybe even where I can find them? I got some from summit for a NP241 but they aren't the right size, won't thread into the tcase. Thanks.

Re: NP208 mounting studs

Sure it is a 208 and not a 205?. AND most 208s and 241s just used bolts (3/8-16x1.25). I usually just put one stud in at the 12 o'clock position for 3 reasons, it helps when aligning the unit, helps hold the gasket in place and also the 12o'clock bolt is a real pain to tighten. Easier to spin a nut on first.

Re: NP208 mounting studs

Did a little editing above--not sure If i would personally use a 208. They are kind of a dinosaur now and hard to obtain parts for. 241 would be a definite upgrade and of course so would a 205 (if you can find a round pattern one)

Re: NP208 mounting studs

Thank you for the reply. I guess I have the right studs, the threads probably just need to be cleaned out. I know the 208 isn't the workhorse that a 205 is, but this truck won't see a ton of work in 4 wheel drive and I like that the aluminum case is lighter to work with. Thanks again, I appreciate your help!
