Hello from Saskatchewan, Canada New 71 C10

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to say Hi!

I've been planning on restoring a C10 for a while now and have been hunting for a local one to start my project. I recently picked up a partially running (would idle only) 1971 C10 with an Inline 250 and z converted from the tree to a 3 on the floor truck.

So far I've got it fully running and driving after a carb rebuild, pro gas tank clean out and adding a manual choke. It also badly needed the drive shaft carrier bearing done.

I plan on fully restoring it over the next 5 years but won't be doing paint for a couple as I have a lot of rust work to do. I plan on driving it the way it is for now while I do the rust.

Here's some pics of my new beast

Welcome aboard. I'm a little north of you and have a few parts trucks. Might be able to help you out.

Re: Hello from Saskatchewan, Canada New 71 C10

Sorry guys, I didn't realize you had all replied! Thanks for the wishes, I will keep you all posted for sure. Lots to do on the truck but I'm taking 1 bite at a time. Biggest step so far was cleaning out the tank, getting a new gas sending unit and rebuilding the carb and now shes a solid runner. So much fun to drive, I forgot how much I enjoyed driving a standard transmission!
