Door closing problem

I'm trying to adjust the closing of my doors on my 53 3100. They are in the correct positions, as per the gaps all around, close and latch. But when latched, you can still pull the door out about 1/2 inch (although it stays latched). Striker plates and latches are new, and are adjusted inward and downward so that the door will latch and stay latched. I checked out Youtube, no help. Any advice or tips?
